The challenge
Homeowners and contractors alike tend to find A-1 Waste through a local search. When they land, they want quick answers, not a long read.
The family business needed its site to turn that visit into a rental straight away. That meant answering three questions early: which container fits the job, how much it costs and whether the truck will reach their town. Many orders also come from busy work sites where phone signal is weak, so the pages had to load well on poor connections.
Our approach
We kept the structure to a handful of pages and let the homepage handle the big questions in the order customers ask them. It explains the two container sizes, confirms flat pricing with nothing hidden, and lists Jackson along with the wider ring of towns the company serves. A collapsible FAQ covers everything else, including longer rentals for businesses.
Branding on the company trucks guided the styling, so the site reuses their red and chrome badge and wraps plain, high-contrast cards in red icons and a dark footer.
Each size is described by how many household trash bags it roughly holds, and its booking button connects to Docket, which the office team was already using to manage rentals. On phones, calling and booking come first, FAQ rows are easy to tap while wearing work gloves, and images and scripts stay light for weak rural signal.
The results
Customers can now choose a container, confirm their town is covered and place an order online in a single visit. Each booking drops straight into the software the team works in every day, so the office sees new orders where it already looks. At launch the site also promoted same-day delivery, listed every community served for local searches and linked to the company's social profiles.
