Mr Microsoft is an expert blog on Microsoft cloud tools, and we shaped it into a magazine-style publication that sorts every article by topic and depth.

The challenge
Mr Microsoft is written by a Microsoft MVP who works as a solution architect, and over time the archive grew into hundreds of articles. A plain blog that lists posts by date made that library hard to use.
IT admins arrive with a specific problem. Some want a quick fix, others want a full walkthrough, and all of them want to know the advice comes from someone qualified. The brief called for a site that behaves like a proper publication rather than a scrolling feed.
Our approach
Rather than ordering posts by date, we organised them by how deep they go. New articles appear alongside a narrow column of short, practical tips, and cards for the main topic areas, from Azure and Copilot to Entra, Exchange Online, Intune, PowerShell and Teams, lead straight into their hubs.
Most of the layout stays close to black and white, so each topic card can carry its own colour: blue for Azure, purple for Copilot, green for Intune. A header switch turns on dark mode for anyone reading late. Post cards show an estimated reading time, two newsletter forms invite signups, monthly archives stretch back through past years, and an author panel pairs a drawn portrait with the MVP credential. On phones the topic cards form one column, and the reader, article and experience counters sit above the first headline.
The results
There was nothing empty about launch day. Fresh articles led the homepage, the tips column had plenty in it and subscribers were already joining through both newsletter forms. Readers can now jump by topic to either a quick answer or a detailed guide, and the author's credentials are visible early.
