The challenge
Ryan Dahlstrom gives expert testimony in legal cases involving the service of alcohol. Attorneys who hire an expert need to check credentials quickly and feel confident relying on them in court.
His website therefore had to read less like a marketing page and more like a credible CV. It also had to explain the different kinds of work he takes on, give journalists a way to reach him, and make booking a consultation straightforward for busy lawyers.
Our approach
His experience is summed up in a band of headline figures covering training, leadership, certifications and the venues he has worked with. Visitors then choose between his writing, his advisory work and his courtroom testimony, each with a separate path.
The design uses red and a very dark charcoal over photos of bar interiors. Portraits of Ryan Dahlstrom share one consistent outfit, which ties the person to the practice, and his signature appears below the introduction.
Functional pieces include an appointment form where visitors choose a service from a dropdown, a button to download his CV, a section offering a free consultation, and a media page that explains to reporters how to get in touch, arrange time and quote him. On phones the figures regroup into a compact grid and the form fields stay full width.
The results
Lawyers now arrive at a clear summary of his credentials and can request a consultation through either of the routes offered. With his Las Vegas office details and opening times listed, plus commentary posts already on the blog, journalists can treat the site as his press kit.
