The challenge
Connective Counselling is a Toronto practice led by an experienced social worker who has supported families for a long time. The goal of the website was simple to state: help people move from a first visit to booking a free introductory consultation.
That is not easy for therapy. Visitors are often searching on a phone at a difficult moment, and they need to see quickly whether the practice helps someone like them. Any friction on the way to booking could mean they give up.
Our approach
The homepage helps each visitor quickly work out whether the practice offers the kind of help they need. A service grid covers each stream of care, from children, couples and families to parent coaching, teens and adults, and perinatal support. The menu also leads to her parenting articles and a page of useful links.
Colour does quiet work here: purple-tinted photography, deep blue-violet buttons and very light lilac sections surround the orange hand-shaped logo, so nothing feels like a medical office. A monochrome photo of the therapist appears in the about section, with a counter showing her years in practice.
Every service card carries a booking button that feeds straight into the practice's online calendar, an appointment button stays in the header, and a wide free consultation banner closes the page before the footer. On mobile, each booking button sits right under its description, with no accordions.
The results
Every booking route was tested from start to finish before launch, so a visitor can go from reading about a service to reserving a time without dead ends. The footer shows the Toronto address, and before the service list, visitors learn they can attend each appointment online or face to face.
